Our story starts the way a lot of good ones do: with a road trip.
Our founder, Chad, was left $2,000 by his grandfather—with one simple request: use it to travel.
So he bought a VW van and hit the road, determined to see every corner of America. That trip sparked a bigger idea: what if a van could be more than transportation—what if it could be a trusted companion—adaptable, reliable, and ready for whatever the road ahead brings?
Back then, Chad strapped bags inside and out to stash gear after long days on the road. That simple solution inspired our soft-sided Mule Bags, one of the first products born from the journey.
Years later, those ideas became Adventure Wagon—a modular interior system built for DIYers, weekend wanderers, families, and full-time travelers.
From our Portland, Oregon HQ, we design every product with the same spirit that started it all: gear that’s flexible, reliable, and made for what matters most—time outside, time together, time well spent.

your van. your layout. your adventure
Adventure Wagon builds premium modular interior systems that transform cargo vans into flexible, adventure-ready rigs. Whether you’re chasing surf, hauling gear, road-tripping with family, or heading off-grid for weeks at a time, our system adapts to your life—not the other way around.

MORE THAN MODULAR.
Our steel A-frame provides structure and strength, while strategically placed L-track gives you the freedom to mount, move, or remove components like beds, storage, and gear—whenever your plans change. Heading out with friends this weekend? Add a bunk setup. Hauling bikes on Monday? Clear the space in no time.

one stop shop.
Everything you need for your van build—designed to work together from the start. Our complete kits include structural components, insulation, lighting, wiring, and finish panels, all engineered for seamless integration.
We also offer a curated selection of gear all designed to work with our core system. Everything fits the way it should, so you can add what you need, when you need it, without reworking your build.

Flexible install options.
Whether you’re hands-on or hands-off, there’s an install path that works for you. Tackle the build yourself with our DIY guides and support, schedule a factory install at our Portland HQ, or work with one of our certified installers across the country.
If you book a factory install in Portland, you can be road-ready in as little as 2–4 weeks—compared to custom van builds that can take months. No matter how you get it done, the result is the same: a road-ready van that’s easy to adjust, reconfigure, and upgrade whenever you need.

QUALITY + DURABILITY.
Adventure Wagon is built on craftsmanship, not shortcuts. From the steel A-frame and aluminum L-track to marine-grade panels and premium fabrics, every material is chosen for strength, longevity, and daily use on the road.
We focus exclusively on the Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit platforms so every panel, bracket, and bed rail is fine-tuned to exact factory specs—making installs smoother, faster, and more precise.
Plus, every product is covered by our 3-year limited warranty for peace of mind.

CUSTOMER SERVICE + SUPPORT.
Building your van is just the beginning. Whether you install it yourself or go through our team, we’re here to support you for the long haul—with real people, helpful resources, and answers when you need them. That support doesn’t expire. Even years later, we’ll be here to help you upgrade, troubleshoot, or rethink your layout.
