MOAB BED FOR Sprinters

Sprinter 144Sprinter 170

This guide is for installing the MOAB (Mother of All Beds) height-adjustable camper van bed in 2007-current Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144 and 170 High Roof vans. The MOAB Bed mounts to vertical L-Track, allowing you to adjust the bed height and reconfigure your van as your needs change.

Any additional written build notes below will be the most up-to-date instructions and the video should be used as a baseline.

Compatibility/Passenger Vans

The V2 Wall Bracer Kit is compatible with 2007-current Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144 and 170 High Roof cargo vans, with or without Flarespace flares.

Passenger Van Note: Installation in Sprinter passenger vans requires a small notch in the factory ceiling headliner. The rear vertical wall bracer will also cover a portion of the rear window.

Before you begin/install info

If your van already has the Adventure Wagon Modular Interior System installed, the required wall bracers and vertical L-Track are already in place. You can skip the wall bracer installation and move directly to fastening the MOAB Bed.

If you're installing the MOAB Bed on its own, you'll need the V2 Bed Install Kit, which includes the wall bracers and L-Track required to securely mount the bed.

The V2 wall bracers extend from floor to ceiling, providing greater flexibility for bed height and mounting position. They are also compatible with Flarespace flares and wider aftermarket rear windows.

Confirm you're installing the V2 system. These instructions are for Adventure Wagon's V2 floor-to-ceiling wall bracers. V1 wall bracers use a different mounting configuration.
Already have the Modular Interior System? Your wall bracers and vertical L-Track are already installed, so you can skip directly to fastening the MOAB Bed.
Review the V2 Bracer Addendum. Watch the addendum along with the primary wall bracer installation video for supplemental installation information.
Treat every drilled hole. Deburr drilled holes, remove metal shavings, and apply rust preventative to exposed metal before installing hardware.
Keep components flush as you work. Make sure the wall bracers and L-Track sit firmly against the van structure while securing the hardware.
Check your bed height before tightening everything down. Once the wall bracers and L-Track are installed, position the MOAB rails evenly on both sides of the van and confirm the bed is level before fully securing the hardware.
