Most memorable trip or experience

Last June, my wife and two kids (5 and 9) embarked on a 15 day road trip across the southern US. We spent our first night in Joshua Tree, then onto Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Nevada and beck home to California. We plan accordingly based on how many miles we want to drive, and how long we want to hang in certain areas.

Our favorite stop on that trip was easily Silverton, CO. We had some local friends show us around and take us up to Velocity Basin where we camped for the night. We’ll definitely be heading back there for more adventure.

This trip was particularly special because we were stopping to visit some family after losing a close family member a few months earlier in a terrible accident. It was a special trip to include a stop to see important people.

The van makes it all possible. We never have worries about being too big to fit in a parking space or finding a place to sleep. We can be completely self-sufficient for days or stop on the road for every meal. We have plenty of space for kids’ scooters, hiking boots, snacks, games, etc. The modular build of our van keeps us thinking of how to evolve it after each trip!  Almost two years later and we’re working on a new bed and galley setup. It’s the best!
