This guide will show you how to install the Adventure Wagon's RUV wall track in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144 model van 2007 and newer.
It takes about 1 hour for first timers to complete the install.
The wall track is shipped in the large cardboard tube containing all of the RUV track.
Bag of black Set Screws
Bag of M6 stainless Rivnut sets
2 Long horizontal wall tracks for driver side and 2 shorter horizontal wall tracks for the passenger side (behind the sliding door)
What else will you need? A rivnut gun, cordless drill with a step bit
Start with Driver-side lower horizontal wall track and align this to the base of the Rear Vertical Wall Bracers. The front of the lower rail should be ⅛-¼ inches away from butting up to the B Pillar by driver seat
Screw in set screws as pilot holes in every other hole (odd holes) across entire length of the Horizontal RUV track. Remove the track and bore out the holes using a step bit to prepare for inserting Rivnuts.
Rivet Rivnuts into the odd holes on the lower horizontal wall rail.
Re Attach the RUV rail using the M6 bolts into the set Rivnuts (odd holes). Using set screws now screw in pilot holes in the even holes on the same track.
Repeat the boring process and install rivnuts in the even holes.
Repeat steps 1-5 for the upper driver side horizontal rail
Install the Rails on the passenger side the same way. Start with the lower rail. The front side of the rail should fit tight against the vertical wall bracer and it’s end should but up against the center line marker in the C Pillar (aka the sliding door pillar
Driver Side Lower Rail butting up against the B Pillar by the driver seat:
On both sides the lower rail should be flush with the bump in the van structure that runs horizontally in the van with the RUV wall track. You can press under the rail with your finger to make sure it is flush.
Driver Side Rear Rail Alignment:
Passenger Horizontal Rail alignment.
Left side of rail should align with the center line of the van and be flush with the forward vertical wall bracer
