3M INSULATION

  INTRODUCTION

INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

This guide will show you how to install 3M thinsulate as part of Adventure Wagon’s RUV Kit.

It takes a team of 2 people about 1 hour to cut the insulation using the marked templates and another hour to install in the van.

Our 3M thinsulate choice is hydrophobic and will not absorb water, making it an excellent choice for van insulation.

  IMPORTANT

CUTTING AND INSTALLING THE INSULATION

  1. Cut the 3M using the templates. It is easier to cut sections one at a time and install in the van versus cutting all pieces at once.

  2. The pieces correlate with panel openings in the van. Low, mid, high and ceiling correlate to the placement of the piece.

  3. Over half of the templates need to get double stacked for thickness. They are marked with the same numbers. Both should be combined with double stick tape and put in the same panel opening

  4. There will be areas that the 3M will need to be pushed back under the framing (rear lower doors are a good example).

  5. 3M insulation is meant to be lofted and not compressed down.
