HOW TO INSTALL
PANEL INSTALLATION
Compatible with: Mercedes Sprinter Van 144/170
Year 2007 and up

  INTRODUCTION  

INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

Unpack your Adventure Wagon RUV Kit panels and organize the panels so you you can work from the front of the van to the rear and from the bottom to the top. This is where the beauty of the kit comes alive and your van conversion is almost complete.

INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

  • Work from the front of the van to the rear.
  • Begin with reinstalling the OEM headliner
  • Install the Adventure Wagon furring strip
  • Begin installing the lower panels.
  • Install and connect USB/12V outlets to the wiring harness on each panel.
  • Work on the middle panels begining with the driverside window shroud at the front of the van.
  • Add vertical L-Track to hold the middle panels in place and tighten the vertical and lower L-Track.
  • Install the Slide-Liner, contoured sliding door panel, slide between ceiling bracer and L-Track and tuck into weather stripping.
  • Install center ceiling panels and connect electrical.
  • Add center L-Track inbetween the 2 center ceiling panels
  • Continue with installing the smaller side ceiling panels starting again from the front making sure the panels are snug.
  • Driver side, set front first by running panel flush with the headliner
  • Add last ceiling panel and secure wall panel with set screws.
  • Install fan housing
  • Install the fuse block liner, directly behind the driver seat.
  • Reattach OEM B-Pilar covers.

  IMPORTANT  

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Work from the front of the van to the rear.
  2. Begin with reinstalling the OEM headliner
  3. Install the Adventure Wagon furring strip
  4. Decouple the OEM wiring harness and ziptie it to the furring strips
  5. Open up the Adventure Wagon Panel Kit box
  6. Pull out the Sliding Door Panel and use the OEM door panel as a template to drill holes in the new panel.
  7. Begin installing the lower panels.
  8. Install and connect USB/12V outlets to the wiring harness on each panel.
  9. Cut away insulation behind outlets
  10. Mount Panel under L-Track and slide panel into place.
  11. Leave L-Track loose until you install upper panels.
  12. Put a set scrrew in bottom corners of each panel and one in the bottom middle.
  13. Work on the middle panels by begining with the driverside window shroud at the front of the van.
  14. Set bottom of shroud in place first behind the lower track and slide under upper L-Track, now tighten lower track.
  15. Add vertical L-Track to hold the middle panels in place and tighten the vertical and lower L-Track.
  16. Install the Slide-Liner, contoured sliding door panel, slide between ceiling bracer and L-Track and tuck into weather stripping.
  17. Add a screw to the right bottom corner to hold the Slide-Liner in place.
  18. Install center ceiling panels and connect electrical.
    1. start with front of van
    2. connect lights to wiring harness
    3. Snug up to front headliner
    4. use button head allen screws and attach to the ceiling bracer brackets.
  19. Add center L-Track inbetween the 2 center ceiling panels
  20. Continue with installing the smaller side ceiling panels starting again from the front making sure the panels are snug.
    1. Add the top Wall Panel to wedge the ceiling panel up and into place with a firm push.
    2. Tighten the Wall L-Track as you go along.
    3. Use set screws on the Upper Wall Panel securing the panel to the furing strips behind.
  21. Driver side, set front first by running panel flush with the headliner
  22. Add last ceiling panel and secure wall panel with set screws.
  23. Line up the back end (rear of van) of panels so they are flush.
  24. Tighten all remaining L-Track
  25. Install fan housing
  26. Install the fule block liner, directly behind the driver seat.
    1. Set with screws inside the back left flandge, 2 in the back and one in the ceiling.
    2. Screw on final cover plate over fusebox hole with 4 screws.
  27. Reattach OEM B-Pilar covers.
